Maybe I AM HOMESICK…haha, idk…when you miss people, do you actually miss the person, or just miss those times of old…? It’s crazy but i dont want to miss the times, because it’s best making the times NOW, if that makes sense…creating new memories everyday, is more meaningful and exciting rather than missing what has already passed…but does that make it wrong to miss the person? I guess, I can say that I miss someone because I wish I can spend the present with them at that very moment. That’s what makes you miss someone truly, deeply. Because, not only do you miss them for who they were, just as the times change, you can change with them too, and together share the times for whoever they are now.

I saw the Law as to be obeyed or ‘followed’ in order to gain favor with God, to gain favor in heaven, to gain favor into heaven. However, as I’ve learned, it’s a result, an outcome, and expression of our love to God first, that makes all the difference today. We are to love Him because He loved us by grace from the beginning of time. And loving Him is the beginning of all wisdom in the world (Proverbs 9:10) We were created for relationship with Him and that relationship leads to getting to know Him, stemming from that love for Him. But since we are of a sinful nature, when we are constantly breaking the law everyday, we are made distant from Him. Thus, in believing and accepting that Jesus is the mediator between God and us, we have the Divine connection that is the “bare necessity of life.”

God’s law reveals His character. It’s an expression of the character of God allowing us to look at others in a more loving way, rather than the legalistic judgmental way. Yes, it’s about living God’s expectations with our hearts more than just following with our heads.

It’s not just a list of things to follow but it’s to live out God’s love in our lives. Once we know and understand that love, then we can finally truly know God. And that’s true education for life.
